General FAQs

1. What is DIY Baking?

We are the first DIY baking studio in Singapore and what differentiates us from others is that we don't have an instructor to conduct a class.
But really we are a place for people to gather, and bond and have fun whilst pacing their own learning and baking via iPad instructions (includes video and detailed instructions for all ages without baking experience). We also have daymakers (staff within the shop) that would be able to provide assistance should customers feel they are unable to understand the material provided.

2. Is it Halal Certified?

Though our studio is not halal certified, but be assured that we are halal friendly:
a) We do not serve or have alcohol in our bakes or studio,
b) The gelatine used for our bakes are halal certified
c) There is no pork or lard in our studio, we use only top quality butter or healthy vegetable oil for our bakes.

3. Child Policy

Children must be 3 years old and above to participate in a DIY baking session.
Children below 12 years old would require adult supervision. (Accompanying adult must be 18yo and above)

4. Last Order

The last timing to start a baking session would be at 7:30pm only for items 120mins and below. In order to have a wider selection of desserts to choose from, customers are advise to come earlier at around 6:30pm.

5. Can we choose different recipes?

Yes. However, do note that different recipes have different baking duration. If customers come with a group of friend, those who finish early will need to vacate the baking station for other customers.

6. What’s the maximum pax per recipe?

Each recipe can accommodate a maximum of 2 Pax and children below 12 would require adult supervision.

7. Will packaging be provided?

Yes. However, do note that we provide only one (1) package per recipe. Additional charges apply for extra packaging if customers wish to split the cake among themselves.

8. Can we bring the recipe home?

Yes, you may write down the recipe or type it into your smartphone. But taking of videos or pictures of our iPad instructions is prohibited as it's under our franchise copyright.

9. Can we take videos?

Yes, feel free to take videos of your experience during your baking session. But taking videos or pictures of our iPad instructions is prohibited as it's under our franchise copyright.

10. Can we change our selected recipe on the day itself?

You may still change to another recipe; but it may take more time for us to do the set up and preparation for you.

Just take note that the following recipes will need 3 days advance booking (Due to perishable fruits involved):-

a) Whole hearted mango mousse cake
b) Cheesy strawberry mousse cake
c) Blooming mango Tart
d) French strawberry Tart
e) Heavenly blueberry Tart

11. Do we need to decide on a recipe when making a reservation?

It would be best for you to be able to decide on the recipes asap as fresh fruit items require a reservation of 3 days in advance.

Group Booking / Private Event FAQs

1. Is group booking considered a private event?

There will be other customers present for group bookings. Private event is the booking of the entire venue.

2. Can we choose different recipes?

Yes. However, do note that for group bookings, different recipes have different baking duration. For those who finish early, they will need to vacate the baking station.

3. What’s the maximum pax for group booking and private event?

We can accommodate up to 40 pax or 24 recipes, taking into consideration we can accommodate up to 2 pax per recipe.

Example
10pax booking: We can accommodate either (a) 5 recipes (2pax per recipe) or (b) 10 recipes (1pax per recipe).

20pax booking: We can accommodate either (a) 10 recipes (2pax per recipe) or (b) 20 recipes (1pax per recipe).

30pax booking: We can only accommodate 15 recipes (2pax per recipe).

40pax booking: We can only accommodate 20 recipes by allowing 2pax per recipe.

4. How do we make payment?

For grouping bookings and private events, we require a 50% deposit upon confirmation. The balance to be paid on the reservation date. Currently, we only accept bank transfer or PayNow for deposit payment. The balance can be paid via Visa, Master or NETS at our store.

5. Can we cancel our reservations?

Deposits are non-refundable. However, the customer may re-schedule latest 3 days before the reservation date. Only one (1) re-scheduling is available.

6. Will packaging be provided?
